What actually happened

We threw away the generic dashboard builder we spent five weeks on and rebuilt the product around one narrow job: the Monday margin report for retail finance teams. The new flow connects to the ERP and the POS export, reconciles them line by line, and flags every row where the two disagree with a short reason. We cut the onboarding from eleven screens to three and wrote the copy with two pilot customers on a call. The reconciliation engine now handles returns, partial refunds and multi-currency invoices, which were the three cases that broke every demo last month. Intros to heads of finance at Nordic retail chains with 20 to 200 stores who still build their weekly margin report by hand. We want three more design partners before launch and will set them up ourselves. Intros to heads of finance at Nordic retail chains with 20 to 200 stores who still build thei.

Learned from users

Finance leads at mid-sized Nordic retailers keep telling us the same thing: their weekly margin report takes a full day to assemble because data sits in three tools that never agree. Two of the six people we spoke with export spreadsheets every Monday morning and paste them into a shared deck by hand. Nobody trusted automated dashboards they had tried before, mostly because the numbers drifted from the ERP without explanation. Biggest blocker

The ERP vendor sandbox access is still pending, so we test against exports the pilots send us by email.
