What actually happened

We switched to a molded pulp insert and a double-wall box, so breakage on the last 40 orders dropped to zero. We also moved the shop to a single product page with three finishes, and conversion went from 1.4% to 2.1%.

Next week
  • Ship all 48 open orders before Friday
  • Sign a backup wood supplier
  • Launch the wall-mounted lamp waitlist
Ask

Introductions to a second oak or ash supplier in the Baltics or Finland who can deliver kiln-dried boards in small batches.

Learned from users

Buyers care more about the warm light temperature than the wood finish. Three customers asked for a wall-mounted version for reading nooks, and two said the box arrived dented, which made the lamp feel cheaper than it is.

Biggest blocker

Our oak supplier pushed delivery of the next batch by three weeks, so we can only build about 60 lamps before the holiday rush.
